Dean and Senior lecturer, School of Women and Gender Studies, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Makerere University and part time lecturer, Clinical Epidemiology Unit, Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Law, Makerere University.

She holds a Doctorate in International Health and Development studies, a Master of Arts Degree in Women and Gender Studies; a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences, a Post Graduate in Democracy and Diversity, and various certificates including  in HIV/AIDS training.

She is also a researcher and trainer. She has written widely and engaged in consultancies on various issues relating to gender and health, sexuality and culture. She has worked in Uganda, Rwanda and Ghana and has been an external examiner in various universities on the continent. She is a member of various professional bodies.
